Spatial Dimension has been acquired by Trimble. Trimble is a publicly-held, global company with 2014 revenues of more than $2,4-billion. Trimble solutions aims to help make people, businesses and governments significantly more productive by providing them with access to information that enables better decisions, improves operations, and reduces risk. The company is a provider of software and hardware solutions across many areas including surveying, construction, agriculture, fleet and asset management, public safety, and mapping. Founded in 1978, Trimble is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. Spatial Dimension’s strong position and expertise implementing land management solutions further expands Trimble’s reach into the land administration market, according to Matt Delano, business area director for Trimble’s Land Administration solutions. The acquisition of Spatial Dimension strengthens the Trimble’s portfolio for governments while expanding their customer base through land management solutions for industry and commercial-based applications. In addition to the continued focus on customer support and their core market, the acquisition will enable Spatial Dimentions to expand FlexiCadastre’s global reach to address adjacent markets. The company’s customers can also benefit from Trimble’s comprehensive portfolio of hardware and software solutions.
