Silicon Engineering recently completed the manufacture of five Silicon BMS Battery Chargers for eThekwini Municipality. These chargers, which are rated at 220 VDC, 50 A, were supplied under a three year contract which the company has with the municipality. The chargers were manufactured in Roodepoort, Gauteng, according to the municipality’s specifications and also include SCADA and event recorders. Full testing of hardware and software components was undertaken by the company’s tester, Lexi Msibi.  The chargers are destined for use in eThekwini and will be maintained by the company’s branch in Durban.
