Announcement and call for papers

The Fossil Fuel Foundation will be hosting a one day conference on coal ash on 28 September 2017.

The event, “Production and utilisation with a multitude of opportunities”, will be held at Glen Hove Conferencing, 52 Glenhove Road, Melrose, Johannesburg.

Aims and objectives

This conference aims to be a forum where both small- and large-scale industrial users of coal, and the producers and users of the ash arising from such use can share ideas, research, operations strategies and case studies on the initial formation of coal ash and the subsequent utilisation technologies.

Opportunities will be presented to better understand challenges in how coal combustion residues can be used in a number of innovative and exciting new ways. This conference is organized by the Fossil Fuel Foundation in association with colleagues in Eskom, industry and tertiary institutions.
