Components company celebrates five years

Western Cape-based C3 Technologies manufactures and modifies LV electrical distribution boards and other products including generator changeover systems, distribution kiosks and power factor correction systems to the client’s needs and specifications. The company was founded in 2012 by Charles du Plessis. It originally had three staff members but this contingent has grown to 36 employees today. Three years after the company’s launch, Du Plessis was one of the finalists in the annual Sanlam Business Partners Entrepreneur of the Year competition.

Today, the company has the capacity to achieve an annual turnover of between R20-million and R30-million. All C3 Technologies’ products are designed and manufactured to clients’ needs and specifications, and are distributed via a network of electrical contractors. The company supplies nationally, as well as to neighboring countries such as Namibia and Swaziland.
