Comtest has announced Fluke’s 62 Max and 62 Max+ infrared thermometers – highly accurate, rugged, and designed specifically to be dust, water and drop resistant. This makes them ideal for the harsh conditions faced by technicians in electrical, service, HVAC, process, industrial and facilities maintenance applications. Temperature is often the first indication of potential problems in electrical and mechanical applications. So, how does the technician determine if an electrical panel has a hot spot, a motor is overheating or an HVAC system is inefficient? The answer is an infrared (IR) thermometer. Fluke’s handheld, non-contact IR thermometers instantly measure equipment temperatures in hard to reach or hazardous areas. Early detection of abnormal temperatures means early correction of problems. Features include: rugged performance: water and dust resistance; small and easy to use; and with dual, rotating lasers to accurately identify spot size. Fluke’s current model 62 was discontinued from July 31st 2012, and the 62 Max is a two-model replacement.
