Wingtra Release 1.9 comes with a multilingual interface, a rugged Samsung Tab Active2 tablet and flight behaviour advances improving takeoff safety. Wingtra gives customers the option to upgrade their tablet to a Samsung Tab Active2. This rugged business-class tablet was designed for harsh work environments like construction or surveying sites. It is water and dust resistant and has a replaceable battery for uninterrupted use on remote sites. The tablet also has a biometric security built in. With the 1.9 update the WingtraPilot app now has a new design with more intuitive navigation. The update also introduces stability and safety improvements, including automatic motor checks by spinning both motors separately before takeoff. In addition, the magnetic field test checks for any magnetic interferences and the onboard battery is tested for imbalanced cells. The context aware low battery return-to-home (RTH) function, which takes distance to home, wind and transition altitude into consideration, further improves safety. Because of these major stability and safety improvements, the company recommends the 1.9 release as a critical update for all users.
