Schneider Electric has released ArcFM Editor XI, the cornerstone of its ArcFM Solution XI Series of applications focused on streamlining utilities’ design and construction workflow. The application provides increased productivity, data validation, network analysis and enhanced editing tools for both electric and gas GIS editors. It extends the core Esri gas and electric utility network data models with domain-specific ArcFM capabilities – all built on the new foundation of the ArcGIS Utility Network Management Extension. The application provides new ways for ensuring high quality data and delivers new editing tools for working with asset and network data. With increased automation and reduced editing times, it streamlines a GIS editor’s work and benefits downstream systems that rely on the data. The Data Validation Assistant offers data quality control and error resolution. The Data Model has been optimised for high fidelity data and phase-based tracing. Customisable tasks and pre-configured maps makes quick job sketching and commissioning possible. The application also includes a new Construction tool that extends feature template editing by providing automatic phase attribute edits.
