Endress+Hauser has launched a Supplier Excellence Programme with the aim of improving and uplifting its supplier base to ensure that the company maintains its quality standards and compliance. The programme is led by Endress+Hauser’s financial director, Shaeen Khan, and operates in partnership with the company’s B-BBEE implementation partner, Siyakha Consulting. According to Khan, Endress+Hauser is committed to helping take small black-owned supplier businesses to the next level. Siyakha will help the company meet this objective by conducting a coaching and mentorship programme. According to Siyakha’s director of development services Mpho Ntholeng, the aim is to improve the quality standards of suppliers so that large companies feel comfortable using them. “It’s not just about being black-owned. You need to compete on quality and compliance,” urged Ntholeng at the programme launch. To this end, Endress+Hauser has developed a handbook for suppliers to ensure they understand what is required of them. The extensive guide includes an introduction to the company, its policies and procedures, information on supplier excellence and quality management, as well as the forms required to become a compliant supplier.
