The new Pentax G6Ni GNSS base and rover system is designed to meet the needs of today’s surveyors and is based on the manufacturer’s many years of experience in instrument design and construction. The company aims for ease of use, a low cost of ownership and flexibility to accommodate different working environments, and chooses its partners accordingly. The GNSS base and rover system features multi-constellation support (GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, SBAS and Galileo), wireless communications (including WiFi for direct communication with any device as well as internal GSM), a compact and durable metal housing with IP67 water and dustproof rating, tilt sensor, and hot-swappable batteries. The receiver is compact and lightweight at only 1,1 kg with its two batteries, and features 555 channels (duel frequency). The system is available with MicroSurvey Field Genius or Carlson SurvCe software on various Windows-based field controllers. Training is provided with each purchase, along with free lifetime support. All servicing and repairs can be done at Afgen House in Gauteng.
