TDK Corporation’s PXC-M series 3, 6 and 10 W DC-DC converters are packaged in the industry standard DIP-24 footprint. These medically certified units can operate over a 4:1 input range. With 5000 V AC input-to-output isolation, these efficient converters are suitable for use in a broad spectrum of medical applications and battery-powered equipment. Accepting either a 9 – 36 V DC or 18 – 75 V DC input, the PXC-M series is available with output voltages of 3,3; 5, 12, 15, 24, +/- 5, +/- 12 and +/- 15 V DC. Operation from 12 and 24 V, or 24 and 48 V nominal inputs reduces inventory carrying costs and improves part availability. The units will operate in ambient temperatures of -40 to +105°C (with derating above 77 °C for the 10 W and 94°C for the 3 W models). Optional features include an output voltage adjustment of up to -10% to +20% and remote on-off. Over-current and over-voltage protection are standard on all models. Off-load input current draw is 6 mA for 24 V input and 4 mA for 48 V input models, making it attractive for battery-powered products.
