Instrotech offers the Michell HygroSmart HS3 sensor, now with I2C communications protocol/slave device (BUS output), which supports a maximum speed of 100 kHz. Each slave on the I2C bus holds an individual seven-bit device address. The address byte is then followed by the op-code and eventually by the payload. Because it’s designed to withstand the kind of harsh and demanding conditions found in industrial processes, the HygroSmart HS3 sensor has a polymer tile to provide long-term, reliable measurements, unlike many “disposable” probes that have short lifespans within harsh conditions. It also provides accuracy of 0,8% RH, making it among the most accurate and reliable RH sensors on the market and allowing for longer recalibration periods. This brings peace of mind to process operators and provides a low life-time cost of ownership when compared to “disposable” sensors.
