The 9th annual Southern African Energy Efficiency Convention (SAEEC) which takes place at Emperors Palace, Gauteng, is now just five days away!

SAEE’s president, Karel Steyn, says that the SAEEC and its focus on energy efficiency is important considering the current energy situation in South Africa and that energy efficiency with all its variants is the only real solution to climate change. This year the SAEE has chosen the theme “Saving the world by saving energy”, and calls on all “energy super heroes” to gather for a time of networking and knowledge sharing.

The 2014 Convention will bring together leaders in the energy field for the most extensive gathering of energy efficiency professionals ever seen in South Africa. 109 speakers across a plenary and ten breakaway sessions, 20 media partners, seven endorsers, six sponsors, 600 delegates, and 250 banquet guests. The two days of the SAEE convention will also include an extensive exhibition area, annual banquet and the 2014 SAEE Energy Awards where companies which have excelled the past year will be honoured.

The SAEE and its sponsors AOS Consulting, GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), Ensight, EOH, South African National Accreditation System (SANAS), Department of Energy, and Energy & Combustion Services (ECS) look forward to welcoming you at this year’s event.
