Address system sees wider adoption

In the previous two months What3words has experienced growing adoption of its three-word address system across various industries, including construction, ecommerce, logistics, supply chain, routing and more. The addressing system offers granular location information and is available in 26 languages. In South Africa, iStore, the sole distributor of Apple products in sub-Saharan Africa, is now offering delivery to three-word addresses throughout South Africa. To help haulage companies and site visitors find their way to and around 67 construction project sites, Highways England has adopted What3words, and now saves important locations on project site maps with their three-word addresses. Log-Hub, which offers an app portfolio of supply chain solutions to the logistics industry, has also integrated the addressing system into all its geo-related apps. With its new Excel Add-In, Log-Hub customers can generate three-word addresses for delivery destinations and use them in their chosen route optimisation tool. India Post has since April piloted the addressing system. Route optimisation firms FleetWizard and Smart Routes too have integrated the addressing system into their systems, with Smart Routes converting three-word addresses to GPS coordinates for optimised navigation. India Post has been piloting the address system since April.
