The eleventh international Industrial and Commercial Use of Energy (ICUE) conference will be hosted at the African Pride Crystal Towers Hotel, Cape Town, between 18 and 20 August 2014.

The conference, which will have the theme, “Energy efficiency in buildings”, provides a forum for professionals, manufacturers, distributors and installers. All energy systems in commerce and industry, the latest developments and the effective use of all forms of energy will be considered.

Participants will be informed on the latest regulatory and market trends and will get first-hand reports on successful projects. Delegates will explore the complete spectrum of resources now offered by energy service providers to help reduce energy costs, analyse energy data and develop demand side management strategies.

Workshops will involve industry, ESCOs and measurement and verification specialists to discuss current issues.

There will be workshops on factoring renewable into sustainability and stakeholder issues. Delegates will share practical experiences from the floor after presentations by experts in the field. The outcome may be innovative solutions, ensuring wise use of energy and a sustainable energy future. ICUE focuses on promoting sustainable development, particularly in southern African countries through the effective use of energy.
