Orbit GT has released version 19.3 of its SDK for 3D Mapping Cloud and 3DM Publisher, and a plugin for QGIS based on this same SDK. The SDK has undergone a significant upgrade in that the API has been simplified even as more functionalities were added. The SDK is free to use and can be downloaded from www.orbitgt.com, but requires users to register as Developer. It comes in three languages: JS, .Net and Python. The latter has been used to build the plugin for QGIS, which is also available for free download. Orbit Geospatial Technologies creates solutions for exploiting 3D mapping content in managing, viewing, extracting, publishing, sharing and embedding in workflows, either desktop or cloud based, irrespective of how it’s been captured.
