CPD accreditation for Geomatics Indaba 2016

GI2016-logoGeomatics Indaba 2016 has been accredited by PLATO as an official continuing professional development training event for the South African geospatial industry. Delegates at the conference are eligible to obtain 3 CPD points for their attendance, while presenters of academic papers are eligible for 2 CPD points, and presenters of general papers are eligible for 1 CPD point. A range of training workshops will also be on offer at Geomatics Indaba 2016, and presenters of these workshops are entitled to 1 CPD point as well.

Geomatics Indaba is being held from, 2, 3 and 4 August 2016 at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg. It is jointly organised by South Africa’s geospatial professional organisations – the South African Geomatics Institute (SAGI), the Geo-Information Society of South Africa (GISSA) and the Institute of Mine Surveyors of Southern Africa (IMSSA) – in partnership with EE Publishers (www.geomatics.org.za).

Representatives from the South African geospatial community are encouraged to submit papers in line with the conference theme of “Geomatics skills and technologies: Growing professionals to secure our future”. All paper presenters are requested to highlight wherever possible the business value of their research and the possible savings to their organisations or clients.
