Esri ArcGIS Runtime 100.6 is a milestones both in capabilities and in how the company plans the content of its releases. This update introduces a track-focused roadmap for Runtime. These tracks are utilities, defence and public safety, and platform support. The tracks represent the drivers for adding various capabilities to the software, although most capabilities have wider applications. This update sees the first phase of Utility Network support in the Runtime SDKs, including APIs to read network properties and definitions, and to understand associations between network elements and between these elements and their geographic feature representations. APIs for network tracing has also been introduced, along with improved annotation support. The new Navigation API eases integration of navigation into apps. To support defence customers, this update introduces improved support for Military Symbology, which pivots off use of a Dictionary Renderer, powered by Arcade. Many OGC services use parameter based authorisation schemes for access, and Runtime now supports using these authorisation keys for WFS, WMS, and WMTS layers. ArcGIS platform driven capabilities have also been added, such as Mobile Map Packages now supporting Group Layers and Runtime now opening WFS layers from a web map.
