Geospatial water infrastructure management

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) in Washington has chosen Innovyze’s InfoWater product to support its large-scale, enterprise-wide geospatial water distribution network modeling and management needs. The purchase will enable SPU to address critical planning, design, operational, and water quality issues with maximum effectiveness as it optimises capital improvement programs and improves customer service. SPU delivers about 140-million gallons of water per day to about 1,4-million people. SPU are looking forward to using InfoWater to enhance their hydraulic modeling and GIS activities. InfoWater’s direct integration with ArcGIS will allow them to more quickly update models, perform modeling analyses, and create GIS data for displaying and analysing modeling results. Built atop ArcGIS , InfoWater seamlessly integrates sophisticated predictive analytics, systems dynamics and optimization functionality directly within the powerful ArcGIS setting. From fire flow and water quality simulations, valve criticality and energy cost analysis to pressure zone management and advanced Genetic Algorithm and Particle Swarm optimisation, the InfoWater product suite comes equipped with everything water utility owner-operators need to best plan, design, operate, secure and sustain their distribution systems. The software also serves as a base platform for advanced smart network modeling, operation, capital planning and asset management extensions.
