GIS software enhances data import

Maptitude 2018 will be released in the first quarter of 2018, with new features including the ability to update linked tables/Excel locations, enhanced data import (MapPoint waypoints), and enhanced results. Data linking was one of the best features of Microsoft MapPoint and has been added to Maptitude 2018. The new release will allow users to update their map with any changes made to the data source. If they have added/deleted/changed customer records in an Excel spreadsheet, users can simply choose to update the map layer with the latest information and locations. The 2018 version of the software is also able to import waypoints from MapPoint and Streets & Trips. This version also features a new site selection wizard to help users identify the best locations for servicing their customers or target market. Users will also be able to create drive-time zone reports using the labels/names of stores and customers. The wizard-driven interface will guide users through adding shaded boundaries to existing maps, such as adding sales by ZIP Code to a customer map.
