Voltage Multiplier Industries based in California, USA announced the release of their new SMF50FF3 SMD high voltage diode. The diode has a working reverse voltage of up to 5000 V rwm and an average rectifier current of 0,040 A at 55°C. The device has a reverse current at V rwm of 0,1 µA at 25°C. The forward voltage of the SMF50FF3 is up to 12.d at a current of 0,040A. The SMF50FF3 is robust enough to handle a single cycle surge current of up to 2 A for 8,3 ms and repetitive surge currents of 0,4 A. The device has a reverse recovery time of 30 ns. The standard operating temperature of the SMF50FF3 ranges from -65°C up to +175°C. Competitively priced, the SMFs are VMI’s standard hermetically-sealed high voltage diodes in a new package for added voltage isolation. The SMF package size is only 6,1 mm x 3,5 mm. With VMI choose from 2 kV to 5 kV, 30 ns to 70 ns, and Io from 50 mA to 500 mA in small, compact, packages.
