Chris Koen has decided that it is time to go and “farm”. He is leaving the ECA(SA) on retirement. I want to take this opportunity to thank Chris for the time he has spent and the work he has done while employed by us. He will be missed. I would also like to wish Chris well and I hope he enjoys his retirement.

Now for the good news: Chris will not be totally lost to the ECA. He will still run our CoC and Installation Rules courses for some time. He will also render other services as and when needed.

Highveld Golf Day: 2 September 2016

Our Highveld Regional Golf Day will take place on 2 September 2016. For this day to be a success, we need you, the member, to come along and play some golf. As I stated in the previous issue of Vector, you don’t have to be part of a four-ball; the organisers will place you in a four-ball. Just be there.

Presidential Excellence Awards

Become part of the 2016 ECA(SA) Presidential Excellence Awards. I am pleased to announce that this region will, for the first time since the awards’ inception, enter projects from branches outside of Gauteng. I am looking forward to see how we as a region will fare this year. I am told by our members that this region is ready to submit at least ten entries already. Let the games begin.

Louis Pretorius, ECA regional director, Highveld
