ifm electronic’s new LMT121 hygienic point level sensor safely monitors the level in storage tanks or protects pumps against running dry.  It can be adjusted to virtually any liquid and viscous medium, as well as to bulk materials. Thanks to the adjustment via IO-Link, it can even identify different media by two independently adjustable switch points. Parameters are set by means of IO-Link or the USB interface E30396. The sensor is preset for sugary, sticky media such as honey, sugar syrup or nougat spread. The LMT121 hygienic point level sensor is maintenance-free and insensitive to foam and deposits and can be integrated into almost every pipe or tank due to its small compact sensor tip. Its compact sensor tip allows integration even in small DN25 pipes. Using high quality housing materials such as stainless steel and PEEK, the sensor meets all requirements of hygienic areas. The high protection rating IP 68 / IP 69K ensures that the sensor is resistant to cleaning processes. The robust level probe is shock and vibration resistant.
