IMSSA President’s Cup 2015

The Institute of Mine Surveyors of Southern Africa (IMSSA) held their annual President’s Cup golf day on 20 March 2015 at the Magalies Park Country Club. The four-ball match with shot gun start saw 102 players compete for the grand prize of an accommodation voucher for a five night stay at Magalies Park. The first prize, a trophy and accommodation voucher, was awarded to Andrew Moleme. Tshepo Nkomo came in second place, wining a Geomax Swiss watch sponsored by IMSSA and Auto Build; while Francios Jordaan took the third prize.

Des van Rooyen won the Closest to the Pin prize, sponsored by IMSSA, with the Longest Drive prize going to Wandre Jansen van Vuuren for a 308 m drive on hole 18. Morné Henning won the prize for the Straightest Drive, and Amanda Mojapelo for the Highest Ranking Lady Golfer in the Field. No one managed an eagle or hole-in-one. The best four-ball alliance score prize was awarded to Ian Lawler, Johan and Leon Potgieter, and Freddie de Bruin.
