Isolated hybrid hermetic DC-DC converters for tough environments

International Rectifier has recently introduced the HTH27022S and HTM27092S isolated hybrid hermetic DC-DC converters for high temperature and high shock environments such as oil drilling applications and mud turbine generators. Featuring an operating case temperature of 165°C with transients up to 175°C, and with a high nominal input voltage of 270 V, these commercial off-the-shelf converters  can significantly reduce design cycle time, size and design costs associated with high temperature applications. Hermetic, hybrid packaging is an attractive feature because it provides high reliability in demanding applications such as oil drilling applications as well as small size and light weight, thus enabling designers to speed up the design cycle while reducing system size, weight and cost. The HTH27022S and HTM27092S products feature internal EMI filter, magnetically coupled current feedback, under-voltage lockout, output over-voltage limiter, external inhibit and short circuit and overload protection.
