BEKA  has introduced its fourth generation models of its intrinsically safe loop powered indicator. The range includes field and panel mounting models with a choice of four digits 34 mm high, or five digits 29 mm high with a 31 segment bargraph. All have an extended operating temperature of –40 to +70ºC and include a square root extractor, sixteen segment lineariser, and internal calibrator together with a tare function. Optional accessories include a backlight that may be loop or separately powered and dual alarms with isolated solid state outputs. The field mounting models have a IP66 GRP enclosure with an armoured glass window for installation in harsh industrial and offshore environments. Panel mounting models are available in 144 x 72 and 96 x 48 DIN enclosures with IP66 front panels and a gasket to seal the joint between the instrument and the mounting panel allowing them to be washed down. South African IA certification for these instruments is available.
