Low-frequency pure sine wave inverters

The Ellies MP low-frequency Pure Sine Wave inverter range with built-in transfer switch  provides the same features as uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes). This means that, when there is a power failure, the inverter switches over to charged batteries automatically. Once the electricity supply is restored, the inverter synchronises to the incoming mains from the utility and then transfers power back to the mains while activating the automatic three-stage battery charger. Such inverters convert DC power from a battery into 230 V AC pure sine wave power and are ideal for powering TV’s, stereos, laptops and home appliances, along with sensitive electronics and appliances with motors such as fridges which have inductive loads. These inverters can handle up to three times their load for short periods. For example, a 6 kW low-frequency pure sine wave inverter unit can start a load of up to 18 kW. The Ellies MP range features built-in copper transformers; a dry contact to be used in conjunction with a generator for start-up and shut down; automatic three-stage battery charger; adjustable charge current functionality and five DIP switches which enable the user to customise the inverter’s operation.
