jb-261-03-2014JB Switchgear Solutions recently completed a multi-million rand contract for the supply of low voltage switchgear destined for the Kgalagadi Manganese sinter plant in the Northern Cape. The contract was awarded through well-known project house MDM Engineering in Johannesburg, and included eight large motor control centres and approx 40 variable speed drives between 5,5 kW and 250 kW.  The company supplied their well-proven Eagle Series panels, which are suited to the harsh conditions of mining in South Africa. In this instance, the end-user chose an ABB solution for all the starters and incomer components.
