Hexagon Mining’s new MineSight mine planning suite, HxGN Logic, is designed to help users create process workflows for modelling. It includes security roles, an audit trail, and flexible data sources to assist users in managing the process from drillholes to a model. It builds upon the foundation of MineSight Basis routines, moving them into a workflow-building tool. It also integrates with the company’s other geology solutions, allowing users to launch these products from directly inside the tool. Other features include a modern interface and support for multiple languages. The introduction of Logic is part of an upgraded MineSight release that also includes an improved MineSight 3D (MS3D) – an update for the planning flagship product. MS3D includes features such as support for large images on surfaces and new file type support; persist and remove surface “colour by” options (i.e. strike/dip); point cloud enhancements; ability to query points in a point cloud; and new properties dialogue. It also adds the ability to snap, volume clip, query, and show 2D views; and to view an AutoCAD drawing directly from within MS3D.
