New premises for electrical engineering company

On 5 December 2016, EE Publishers visited the new facilities and offices of Power Plant Electrical Technologies (PPE) in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. Managing director Mitch McAllister explained that PPE focuses on supplying high-technology systems and solutions to mining operations, utilities and industry. The company was founded in 1998, with its new head-office in Nelspriut, Mpumalanga. It has a number of satellite and site offices throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Although PPE provides general electrical and instrumentation engineering and installation services, it has a number of speciality services. These include electrical and instrumentation design and commissioning services; onsite maintenance and installation works; turnkey project services and an electrical fitment shop providing MV switchgear, motor control centres, power distribution boards, PLC and DCS panels, as well as a range of electrical and instrumentation solutions. Engineering services include power quality assessments, protection systems design and grading, network studies and modelling. The company’s speciality services include plant earthing studies and measurements; co-generation plant protection and controls; energy efficiency solutions and power quality improvements.
