Optical turbidity measurement

asstech-259-02-jumoTo control and measure the quality of water, Assttech now offers the Jumo ecoLine NTU turbidity sensor. Particularly suited for water with low to medium turbidity, applications include drinking water monitoring, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, final wastewater inspection, monitoring of bodies of water or in fish farming operations. The measuring principle is based on an infrared light measurement according to the 90° scattered light method. The turbidity measurement for a wavelength is 880 nm with a measuring range of 0 to 4000 NTU. The sensor operates in temperatures of 0 to 50°C. The sensor housing is made of PVC and is characterised by its sleek and robust design. Calibration data and history is stored in the electronics which allows rapid deployment without the constant need for recalibration. Both immersion and flow fittings are available as accessories. The Jumo ecoline NTU is connected via RS485 interface to the Jumo Aquis 500 RS indicator/controller to function as an on-site complete measuring unit.
