The BIM Academy Africa has launched its Navigator BIM (NavBIM) portal which provides a guide to help architectural or engineering organisations jump start their building information modelling (BIM) adoption journey. The required categories are developed into help disciplines, guiding organisations towards business excellence practices in BIM. The organisation’s BIM adoption plan should be endorsed by the organisation’s senior management and be reviewed and refined regularly to monitor and guide the organisation moving towards successful BIM adoption. Software vendors can also contact the BIM Institute to discuss opportunities for listing their software education programmes and information with NavBIM to help grow this comprehensive guide to BIM for Africa. The NavBIM and BIM Workflows are based on the international best practice BIM Framework and is delivered exclusively through the BIM Institute’s web platform. All information and links provided follow the guidance development philosophy from Australian Natspec, and the Singapore Building Construction Authority. The portal is aimed answer’s organisations and professionals’ question “what do we do next?”
