ACTOM Protection & Control has extended its protection and automation product offerings for the local electricity distribution sector by adding the product offerings of Arcteq, based in Finland, which produces and supplies protection equipment, and NovaTech, an American company which specialises in automation equipment. The products from these two companies complement the local company’s existing offerings from longstanding suppliers and extends its total offering for the local transmission and distribution markets. Arcteq’s AQ-100 stand-alone arc protection range, a reliable fast-acting arc fault-clearing device is well-suited to local conditions in both medium- and low-voltage applications. Combined with the company’s arc-quenching devices, it introduces a new level of safety in the municipal, mining and industrial markets. NovaTech’s OrionLX RTU and Gateway range supports the latest trends in substation automation, such as adherence to the IEC 61850 standard, full on-board automation, web server capability and integrated HMI.
