Orfeo ToolBox (OTB) 6.2, an open-source remote sensing toolset of various applications, is out with ready-to-use binary packages available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. In addition to several updates, 47 reported bugs have been fixed. The new version includes better help, documents and logs, and errors have been made clearer throughout the software. The documentation of 19 applications have also been improved, with plans to continue this work in future releases. Other improvements in this section includes the logging for composite application, and an explicit open-source licence for the Cookbook. Several applications have also been improved and refactored. There is now only one binary package per platform which includes all OTB applications, Monteverdi and all official remote modules which are now packaged in the same archive. The OTB package now contains headers and development files which allows users to compile and link their source code with OTB. Superbuilds now contain the latest OpenJpeg, Gdal and NetCDF5. OTB has graduated in July 2017 from incubation, and is now a full-fledged OSGeo project.
