R101-million for panels order

Schneider Electric report that they have secured purchase orders totalling R101-million from First Quantum Minerals. The scope includes 16 33 kV F400 panels, 26 33 kV DFN7 panels, 169 MCSet panels, plus 27 Motorpact panels and 35 Altivar 1200 medium voltage variable speed drives, for the Kansanshi smelter and the Sentinel Greenfields projects in Zambia. The company’s South African and Australian branches collaborated to provide First Quantum Minerals with detailed and comprehensive medium voltage electrical solutions which emphasised competitive pricing and the meeting of project delivery time expectations.  Their focus on safety and reliability are very important to the sustainable mining operations required by First Quantum Minerals in Zambia.
