Solving the power industry’s packaging needs

Pack Solve offers the industry two packaging options: In-house outsourced solutions, a customer specific solution developed in collaboration with the client creating a full onsite turnkey packaging service; or a third-party outsourced solution, which is developed in partnership with the client and executed at the customer’s choice of location. Speaking to Energize at the Electra Mining show recently, Alex Baisch, the group’s CEO, said that the company packs 900 000 t of steel, ships 230 000 collapsible steel drums and packs 45 to 50 000 wooden packaging units per annum.

The group, which was established in 2014, comprises companies which date from the turn of the century. The organisation, which has an annual turnover of R330-million, employs about 570 people, Baisch said. The company has facilities in Alberton, Benoni, Middelburg and Nelspruit, as well as a satellite facility in the Western Cape and in Oosterhout, the Netherlands. Baisch says the company’s future growth will come from a combination of organic growth and mergers and acquisitions. He plans to offer a track and trace service soon and to expand into the automotive sector, packing automotive components for export.
