Picture-003The IESSA Johannesburg branch hosted a technical meeting on 26 June 2014, attended by some 30 people. In his presentation, “Boosting retailers’ turnover with lighting”, Jacques Sergent of Philips Lighting SA addressed members on the correct lighting solutions for illuminating merchandise. Sergent said the greater part of the purchasing decision in clothing stores is made in the fitting room, which underscores the importance of correct lighting there. After the presentation, IESSA’s Clive Beeton handed over certificates of completion of the IESSA photometry course.
