Triple-sealed bearings launched at NAMPO 2019

Bearings International (BI) has launched its locally-designed Agri HUB bearings with tri-ply seals for agriculture equipment ranging from planters to combine harvesters. The launch took place during Grain SA’s NAMPO 2019 Harvest Day at Bothaville, Free State. BI marketing manager Victor Strobel says the bearings are encapsulated within a hub with a labyrinth seal against dust and water ingress in agriculture applications. Dust mixing with bearing grease forms an abrasive paste causing bearings to fail. Agri HUB tri-ply bearings have three pre-lubricated seals on either side of the wheel. Implements like planters are sold with standard OEM bearings and the Agri HUB solution is for when these inevitably fail. Included with the bearings is a one-piece design fastener kit for the front wheel, depth-gauge wheel and the implement’s closer wheel respectively. These bearings are distributed through BI branches nationwide and are currently available on consignment at Oranje Vrystaat-korporasie’s (OVK’s) branch in Hopetown, Northern Cape.
