Canon held a press event at Glenburn Lodge in Muldersdrift in July 2017 to highlight how easy a regular photographically-inclined person can pick up any Canon camera and take good photographs. This was demonstrated by giving each person present a camera to use for the day to take photographs of various items around the venue. Canon emphasised that it encourages printing and highlighted the company’s journey into mirrorless cameras and launched its first in 2016. The event also served as a reminder and warm-up for the upcoming FESPA Africa 2017 exhibition taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 13 to 15 September 2017. The event focuses on wide format digital printing, screen printing, garment decoration and textile printing.
